Terry Herschman earned both B.M. and M.M. from Kent State University, with an emphasis in choral conducting.  She retired from teaching in 2014 after 36 years in the Mentor Public Schools. She directed Junior High and High School Choirs, taught General Music, Music Theory and Composition and served as music department co-chair.  She has served the Ohio Music Education Association as an adjudicator, clinician, large group event chair, music selection committee member, District 7 Treasurer, State Treasurer (2010-12), and State President (2014-2016.)

In retirement, Mrs. Herschman enjoys rehearsal collaboration and mentorship of a new generation of choir directors, supervises student teachers and coaches soloists for OMEA adjudication. She also enjoys travel, hiking, the National Parks, serious vegetable and flower gardening, candle-making, and looking after her amazing grandchildren.
